Does this way of drawing people have a name?

Question:I see a lot of these woman and I really like this way of presenting a person, though it is kinda unrealistic. Does it have a name and where dos it first time appear?

Many people call this many things: cel shading, fashion illustration, caricature, etc.

Jason Brooks is a well known illustrator who works in this style. It's probably the trendiest way to market products right now and is very popular in the toy industry.

It's done with an advanced program like Adobe Illustrator.

i am guessing it is a form of cartooning in great detail but i am not sure maybe computer graphics

I thinks it's called commercial art.

You're all right. It's cartooning, commerical art, but specifically, it's computer generated, most likely made in illustrator or something a little more advanced.

it's a type of cartoon, which uses solid colors in making light or dark shades.

did you notice the shade in the face in pic2? the shade is not blended like natural. it's like a cut-out w/c was digitally made.

this is oftenly used in depicting fashion related media works.
