Position:Home>Visual Arts> Old slide to picture?

Question:I have an old slide from highschool, it's a little scratched and only has one part of the plastic part that holds the picture. Is it possible to get the scratches removed and the picture printed as a photo?

Also, I have my portfolio in slides, is it possible to get some of those put to photos? I would think it is, but do you know anyone who can do this and how it works?

Thanks

Any print house can scan slides to CD, you can do it yourself, but it's a slow process.

Once they are digital then, of course, Photoshop can 'salvage' even badly scratched images, but it's a thing you get better at with practice and as your knowledge of the tools available increase. Theres a lot more to it than just the Clone Tool.

They could also do a direct print from your portfolio slides, but even they could possibly benefit from a knowledgeable 'tweak' in Photoshop if you scan those to digital too.
