Position:Home>Visual Arts> Are you brave enough to buy antiques from Ebay?

Question:Yes. But two things are important. First make sure that the seller has a sound trading history - feedback, items sold etc. Secondly, make certain that they are competent. They may think it's nineteenth century or whatever. But can they tell the difference?

my dad does once a week

my house is full of ****

Yep.

No way. I've made five purchases on EBay and only one has gone smoothly.
I definitely wouldn't buy antiques or any other valuables.

No. Ive seen to many court cases on tv where the buyer has gotten the "antique" and it was not an "antique". And you have to watch those auctions, cuz they put stuff in small writing and when you bid, you are agreeing to their terms. So, no, I would not buy any antiques on ebay. I even sell on ebay and I still wouldnt do buy the antiques! Lol

No. It's hard enough to tell an honest antique from a knock off when you have it in your hands.

I can't afford to buy anything from EBay. I.m only a poor, old, decrepit, infirm pensioner with a certificate to prove it. Well, if I am honest, it's not really a certificate it's a card account statement from the Post Office into which IS PAID/PAYED MY STATE PENSION (BEFORE TAX).
I often look longingly at some of the items on EBay but it is with a weighty heart and a bitter tear rolling gently down my cheek.
I think I am more likely myself to be an item under the antiques section.
