Which is better for beginners in stained glass? Lead Solder or Copper Foil?

Hi i have been doing stained glass for years and i thing copper foil is much easier,just cut the glass to size and rap it with foil and coat each piece with led fit together and spot solder each piece and after all is assembled go back and fill in all the gaps
