What is the average schooling for a graphic artist major?

You could probably get away with just an associates (2 years) & if you want to go for your BA (4years) that would help getting you in the door to a pretty good company.

However, I know plenty of people that have gotten in the door without either. If you know your stuff you wouldn't need schooling but possibly take courses here & there. If you're lucky you can find a company that is looking for a junior position to fill & get your foot in the door that way.
