Position:Home>Visual Arts> Is a Paynt Oyl reproduction on Canvas simulated oil painting worth anything?

Question:I have a Paynt Oyl in original frame from at least 1960. I found it in the garbage and would like to know more about it and if it's worth anything. The picture is of a boy sitting near some trees with a lake in the background. The frame and picture are both in great condition. On the back it says 6 1/2 L9482 and there is other writing but the first part is smudged. I believe the second word is "Seehaus" which is German for "lake house."

I doubt it. A print done with archival ink on archival paper that is signed and numbered would be. Also some provenance, the early history of an object would help.

It might have some decorative value, but it's not original art and it's not antique either. So no, it won't be worth much.
