Position:Home>Visual Arts> Want to sell antique 35 mm professional wooden movie camera of silent era. Engis

Question:This camera is 100 years old and in perfect working condition. It was used by an indian Maharaja and afterwords was used to make some movies. I am looking for some genuine collector or buyer. According to my search, I believe this is possibly the only peace available anywhere in the world. Were it my camera I would sell it by auction or private sale either through
Christie's http://www.christies.com/howtosell/overv...
Sotheby's http://www.sothebys.com/help/sell/index.... , or
Tamarkin http://www.tamarkin.com/catalog/auction/... .
They have the experience, reputation, marketing, and clientele to sell your camera for a high price.

Ebay is a poor option for you. No offense intended, but my guess is that you do not have the experience or sales reputation to attract the highest bids on eBay, for if you did, you would have sold your camera there already.

Perhaps you could list it on E-bay

e-bay man.. list it and the answer will come

I could not afford it but I have many old cameras and that is a classic. you should keep on to it and maybe someday it will inspire another family member

I have one of 1880. How much do you expect? I could be interested, e mail me the answer.

i would hold on to it if i were you. an antique like that only gets more return the older it is.

If none of your family members are intrested to carry on with it, either you may post an ad in e-bay or contact any antique musuem.
