I think your sister has great potential. It takes practice, practice, practice. If there is anybody's artwork she likes out there, have her try to emulate the artwork. Play with line thickness. Have here create the whole character including the bodies. Then the greatest test is to try to create here own character. If she wants to do this for a living, see if she can find some extra classes to help her expand the way she views artwork. I don't know if she did these by hand, scanned them, and then colored them in photoshop, but she did a pretty good job. What would help too is to get a tablet for her. Wacom makes a cheap one for about $100 called Bamboo Fun. Great for starters. If shes into anime, no it doesnt suck(for anime) It's not very original, but descent. Could be better. If she's older than eleven, you need to tell her a career in art is never going to happen for her. If she's younger, lie and tell her she has potential to keep her happy. i think she is good depending on how old she is. she has a good start. keep at it. It depends on how old she is I guess....I'd say it's good for a 10 year old, but bad for an 18 year old. Either way, she's got to start at some level, and can only move up by continuing to draw. NEED HELP? http://www.drwbrn.deviantart.com/art/Fre... i assume shes young.. if shes younger than 10 or 11, its pretty good. but she definitely needs to work on proportion. maybe show her some head shape tutorials or suggest she looks at some. for a 12 year old this is quite good. its better than anything i could do! first one weird, second one okay, third one could fix up a bit, fourth one okay if she is 10 or younger. 12 and up, sorta bad. She does have potential. Practice, practice, practice and she will become better and better. The shading on the eyes is good. I bet she could do an anime show! :) 12 year old + anime = not bad At least she's interested in art I guess |
