Please verify this picture of Frida Kahlo?

Question:Frida Kahlo is one of my favorite artists of all time,
and I was searching for pictures of her on the internet,and I found this one.

I'm not exactly sure if it's her or someone dressed up to look like her
It's beautiful and I really love the picture,but I'm asking if it's real because I can't figure out how the color would be added that brightly in an old picture
please help me

Yes thats her. She wore bright traditional Mexican clothing all the time. As for Color photography, its been around in some form since the turn of the 1900's. Color film like this was not that uncommon in her time(early mid-century) There are quite a few color photos of her around.
