Question:What kind of emotion or feeling do you get from this photograph?

I'm an amature photographer and currently working on this photograph, and feel something is missing or incomplete.
Any suggestions appreciated.

I think its a very good photograph. In particular the eyes, which seem to "see into the viewer of the photograph."

But I think what is missing is a certain "natural-ity" to the subject. She knows that a picture is being taken of her, and is playing to the camera. I think if you retake the picture when she doesn't know (or at least looks like she doesn't know) that a picture is being taken of her, it will give her a more natural quality.

It would give the feeling a boyfriend or husband might feel when he sees his significant other and realizes how much he loves just the way she is. I believe that is what you feel is missing, the natural grace of the girl in the picture. Trying it this way might serve to put it into the picture.

it looks ghostly to me. is that the effect u were going for? if not, try and brighten it up a bit.

Haunting, grief, sadness. In saying that I would also like to say I like it.

i definitely like it. its a great photo. i just don't get much emotion out of it. the eyes seem hollow.

i think the hollowness of the eyes is causing you to think there is something missing

It's an above-average arm's length self portrait.

its a really good photograph.
When i look at it i see innocence and a natural beauty.
Maybe even a tiny bit of fear, but not much.

i don't see anything behind her eyes. does not evoke much emotion.

No one has mentioned this.. but I do think she needs chapstix.
