How can i put about seven pictures together to make one on adobe photoshop start

Question:This is really important to me because my cousins birthday is coming up and we want to make like a collage of pictures of her on invitations for her and i dont really have the money to pay for the real adobe photoshop right now because of the other birthday preparations .

Let me see if I've got this right, you don't have Photoshop right?

There are oodles of programs that can put together a collage of pictures, and add text too if you want.

Gimp, free to download here,

But it might be easier to use a Desk Top Publishing package like Microsoft Publisher, Serif Page Plus (cheap, but good), Adobe Illustrator (expensive, but very good) or similar, Even Microsoft Word, if you have it can do it too.
