Thank you :)

Not a bad shot for a start. However, if the cake is the hero you missed it. The background and strawberries compete with the cake. They need to be smaller and if cut have to be perfect. Careful placement in the image can make a prop work of fail. When shooting foods consider your props carefully. They should be smaller than the main subject, saddle or out of focus so to not take away from the hero. Supporting props are suppose to enhance the food. In case of your subject I would have used props such as coffee beans. Perhaps use a dish which says old world Italy. You get the idea. An eyedropper could have been the perfect tool for you to ad that little layer of coffee you needed to make the tiamasu look perfect. There are tons of tricks to how to make food look good for photography. Google food styling and you will find some great tips.

So yummy.

The cake is a bit light--can you increase the "black level"?

That looks dso delicious. It is such a good shot. Good luck with shots in the future.

I do like it...I feel as though the lighting isn't as soft as it should be, though.

I think you'll frighten the living daylights out of a lot of pro photographers... I've no idea how old you are but I reckon you will get to the very top of the profession.

That is very, very, VERY good! A little fill light from a reflector would be good to minimize the shadow cast over the left strawberry, but that's just me being picky. Because in all honesty, I don't know about the magazines where you live, but the food shots in the magazines over here are no where near as good as this one.

One thing I'm especially impressed with, you actually got a great shot with an entirely red background! Usually, that would be asking for trouble!

Overall I think that the picture is good. I like how you used the strawberries because it complements the cake and adds some nice details and colors. I just wish that you had used a simpler plate maybe just one that was clean white because the red paint on the plates is a little distracting for me. And I'm not sure about the red background because it could either be a nice complement to the strawberries or it could be that there is too much red in the picture but that isn't really that important. Also the angle that you used to photograph the cake is really great and adds interest.
Great job! I think that the picture is very nice just make sure that you notice all the little details when you are taking the picture.

Great Job, looks very professional

i love it

FABULOUS!!! <3

great job :3

certainly makes me want that cake! mmmmmm!

If you email me a piece I'll try it and get back to you.

Very nice image.

Mmmmmm! Terisu likes tiramisu! Nice work!

not now i'm trying to loose weight...
that looks delish and rich.
y'know photographing food is a whole new realm, check it out, but try not to eat all your subjects.

It's VERY good. Might want to throw in a reflector in the top left to throw some light back in to minimise the shadows. Aside from that, great job.
