there s a great book called Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. i highly recommend it. also sketch from observation every day

Take a basic drawing class. Join your community art league(they often have very reduced rates for students) and get to know other artists...they are usually willing to help. AND practice what you learn.

Anyone can draw and there are many different techniques to learn. But the main thing is practice, practice, practice. Draw something everyday. You can try tracing, using a graph, line drawing, sketching, illustration.

Use a pencil, pen, marker, chalk, paint brush, color pencils etc to draw. Use them on different types of paper.

Walter Foster has some great books that teach beginners and also new ideas for more advanced.

Of course there are always art courses that you can take.
Here are some websites that have lesson plans that teach you and give you ideas on drawing:

If you search for drawing lessons you get more sites.
Just remember the more you draw the better you get.
