Pierre Denys de Montfort is the artist even though he was a naturalist and attempted to prove that there were indeed large squid taking down ships...he completed the works after hearing tales from a crew that was attacked...and he did a few of these with pen and ink and some with a wash...the title is Kraken attacks ship and were attached to the poem by Tennyson...
