No lens cap can be seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVTiBWrhn... it's simple stop motion animation. the same technique used for claymation and old time hollywood creature special effects (think clash of the titans). the guy just stopped the camera at a certain point, inserted the second coin without moving his hand then started the camera again.
