Half full is positive thinking. Half empty is negative thinking. If you are relating it to a situtation it depends of the circumstances

Well the answer to your question is both,because as you can see the cup is half full on the bottom and half empty on the top.

Well, I'd say that since it is filled to the middle of the glass and the top half of the glass has a bigger diameter than the bottom half does, I'd say it is less the half full.
