Question:I'm not suppose to COPY the artwork, but I'm suppose to make it look similar.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make an artwork similar to this one?:

You can use folk figures and geometric shapes to recreate the painting...to keep the color combination choose dark colors.....
After you are done...you can name your art work like ".........after Groovin High"

Pretty much "copy" the artwork layout, but with a different method. This looks like patchworking, so try sketching it or painting it, or for a challenge try sculpting it. Just use different methods than what the original did (methods can include color scheme, btw!).

Take an artwork and draw the basic lines and shapes. Fill them in with Van Gogh like swirls, whirls, dots, dashes, etc.
Or you could fill them in with pop art colors of red, yellow and blue with black and white, with simple stripes, ben day dots, etc.
Or, you could collage on the shapes after they have been splatter painted.
Or take a realistic painting and abstract it in a cubist manner.

i would also suggest that you change the clothes and hairstyles to look like those of you and your friends
