Anyone know were i can get a good free photo editing program?

Question:i have currently taken an interest in taking photos with my friends and i edit them for slide show purposes and stuff to make them better i am currently only using the editor that comes with photo bucket but it dosnt quite do what i want it to or i use the paint program that comes standard on most computers! i wanna be able to blend images together and do really really cool things to them any suggestion on good free ones?

Try Paint.net. You can download it for free, and it's the closest thing to photoshop I found. You can get tutorials on how to use it on YouTube.

picasa is easier to use but pretty basic tools
gimp is almost like photoshop but free

both are free downloadable programs.

Google's is pretty good. Also check out www.kimkomando.com and check out all her free downloads, helpful hints, etc. She compares all the photo editing softwares.

Go to: irfanview.com. There is a free viewer/editor for download.
