Lari Pittman has some graffiti influence in his works.

Probably the most famous graffiti inspired artist is/was Keith Haring whose chalk outlines began as protests to enlighten the public to the AIDS epidemic. Basquiat is another artist you may want to look up. The website below was done in Dallas, but it does have some decent work on it. I thought you might enjoy it.

I thought your question was interesting. I've never thought much about graffiti as any thing other than vandalism but your question led me to search and I got a little carried away I'm afraid. Glad you brought up the topic though.

Graffiti art is now on exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum as a "contemporary art" form that began in New York's outer boroughs and reached great heights in the early '80s with the work of Crash, Lee, Daze, Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

These are some other graffiti artist that are famous in the graffiti world might be worth checking out Ewok, Saber, Sever, Revok, Cope2, Trixter, Seen, Bates, Atom, Revolt, Zephyr, Can2, Axis, Ja one, Seak, Futura 2000, Indie, and Dondi. Some famous crews are MSK, CBS, XTC, and seventh letter. Most of theyre stuff is legal so I wouldnt consider it vandalism or "anything"
