Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: you should continue to audition for local plays in the community or ones at school!. i think the more experience, the better :)!. it would be helpful to have the thick skin for criticism, because on the way youre going to encounter that!. its good to not take things personally, but professionally!. confidence and good character helps tooo also you could try to research things relative to the arts to give you some idea or backround about acting if you want to be in the show business and such you could try finding agents!. Not everyone has an agent and some people climb their way to success alone but having a great agent can definitely work in your favor!. "An agent can do many things for you such as: Negotiate the best pay Find you more roles Handle the business side and accounting side of your career Be your ally" just dnt be in a rush to find good or big roles in anything!. even being casted as an extra or a minor character is a good step!. and you could work yourself up from theree!. good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com Becoming an Actor Find every opportunity in your traveling distance that does Plays or Musicals!. Check the schools and community groups as well as professional!. Contact them and ask to be notified of any auditions!. If you do not get a part, offer to help in any way (paint scenery, usher etc!.) Just being around the production you will learn a lot!. Study Dance, Music and Acting!. You must be able to do at least one great and the others well enough to let the others work around you!. Find classes or instructors that have produced talent!. Work on your image!. You have to be a go getter, with lots of confidence and at the same time come across as humble!. Develop work ethics!. Never be late!. Never be absent!. Always be attentive!. Always show respect for others, even when you do not think they deserve it!. If and when approached by a talent agent or agency!.
