Question: Acting and auditioning!.!.!.!?
I have been going to acting school for about 4 years, and i audition for an agent aproximately every other month!.
I try my very hardest, and im 14!.
Every time, its always the same thing,
I go in, they ask for me to do my commercial script, they say oh cute, then thank you!. I notice everyone before me stays in at least 5 minutes, doing their commercial and monologue!.
I have never done my monologue for them , even when i ask!.
I take many acting classes, but they seem not to be helping!. I never get callbacks!.
How can i amp up my acting!? Im very serious about this career, and would like to better for my next audition!.
Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1st off, i wish i was half as lucky as you to be able to go to an acting school!.
second off, here's a few tips that i'm not sure if you already know!.
a) allways allways do your vocal warmups!. my favorite tongue twister is "i am a mother pheasent plucker!. i pluck mother pheasents!. i am the most pleasent mother pheasent plucker that ever plucked a mother pheasent!."
b) allways do breathing excercises, this will calm you down for the audition
c) When doing cold readings, make sure you have the text below your face!. the auditioner wants to see how pretty you are :)
d) speak in your normal voice!. don't break into an accent unless otherwise specified!. they want to know how you normally act and use that as a basis to work with you
e) when performing, do not make eye contact unless specified!. pick a spot on the wall behind the auditioner and use that!.
f) be confident, smile, and be polite when greeting the auditioner!. They will remember such a positive person!.
g) have multiple monologues, so you have one for the appropriate occasion
h)research the play/musical/whatever you're doing this for!. knowledge will prepare you to make better performance choices!.
i) never ever watch the play or show as to not ruin your personal image of the character or show!.
j)when called back, wear the same clothes!. directors write things down to help them remember like "blue shirt"

your dedication is admirable, and the fact that you can handle rejection so well means you have what it takes to make it!.
