Question: What should i sing for auditions at my high school and how do i get over being nervous!?
okay, so on the 26th of January, i am auditioning for high school musical at my school!. i don't know what to sing! i have a really strong voice and i can sing low and high!. i don't know what song i should sing and how to get over being so nervous!.

please help me out! 10 points for bst advice and best song!!!

by the way, i'm in 8th grade (13) and it's almost impossible for me to get the lead, because i did the musical last year and it was the wiz (jazz version of the wizard of oz), and i tried out for dorothy and i didn't make it, so i'm not going down that road again!

how do i also get over being so scared!? when i'm nervous, my voice gets really shakey and i'm gonna be on this huge stage, total center, by myself, in front of my chorus director and the piano player!. last year, the biology teacher was the director and i didn't know her or the piano player, so i was scared!.

this year the chorus director, mrs!. hoover, is the director and i know her really well and the piano player i know a lot better!.

so if anyone can help, thanks!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Usually, when auditioning for a musical, a song from another musical is a good audition piece!. musicaltheatreaudition!.com has a great search engine to find a song and it has great tips on nervousness!. I have used it for almost all of the musicals I have been in!.
** A side note**- Do not let one bad experience scare you off from trying for the lead! (Director's like confidence!. Trust me, I am one)
