I would like to get into acting but I have a few questions!.
1) How do you get an agent!?
2) Do you audition for an agent or just meet with them!?
3) If you audition do you have to prepare your own monologue!?

to get an agent, research agents in your area or in an area close to you!. you will send in a cover letter, an 8 x 10 headshot, and your resume which will include your experience in all areas as well as special talents and extra currics!. put your age, age range, name, weight, height, eye, and hair color!. you start by sending this in and they will respond!. if they are interested, they will call you and ask you to set up a sort of audition where you will act and possibly sing if you sing!. if they are not interested, they will still contact and tell you (most of the time)!. if you do audition, they will tell youw hat you need to prepare, but many times, a monologue is ideal!. when you meet with them, bring a copy of your resume, your headshot, as well as a few other shots if you have them!. it will not cost you anything, and if they are looking to charge you than they are a scam!. you only pay an agent once you get a job, and you pay a percentage (usually about 10%) from what you get from that job!. also, if they say to be with them you have to take their class, it is not credible either!. they should never make you take a class, offered by them especially!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Uh 1st thing I just want to say and stress is YOU DO NOT PAY MONEY UP FRONT!. 1st look up agency's in your area then send in a head shot!. You don't have to go and get a Professional pics done take a normal picture you'll look same!.
