Question: Bye bye Birdie !? How big is the part of Helen!?

I am doing bye bye birdie at my school and, I got assigned Helen!. I know she has solos in Telephone hour, but how big is her part speaking wise!. PLEASE HELP !!
Oh yeah I tried out for Ursula but they could only give it to an 8th grader!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I was Helen in Bye Bye Birdie!
It's a pretty good part!.
She sings a lot in the Telephone Hour and does have solos!.
She doesn't speak a ton unfortunately!.
She does have a couple lines here and there though!.
It's still an awesome role so dont get discouraged!. Even though you don't speak much try to develop your character and give her a personallity just based on movement and expressions and stuff!.

I would say that she has a fair ammount of speaking!. Not too much though!. Just enough to be able to shine, but unfortunately you can't steal the stage entirely!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
