Callbacks are used for many reasons!. Mainly it is to see how you sing the character's big number and how well you take direction!.

Know your character's songs from the show you're auditioning for! Musical callbacks!.!.!.if you don't get one, you didn't get the part!. Straight plays are a different story though!Www@QuestionHome@Com

A callback is when you've tried out and the director is looking for someone to play a part but they dont know who!. They ask the people who he/she thinks are best and sees what they can do!. Its a VERY good thing and it doesnt matter if you dont get one!. You would be very upset if the other person got it and anyway he/she could've picked you right away without needing a callback!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A call back is held if the director wants to hear more of you!. Call backs are usually good!. I had a call back yesterday and got cast as the Witch in Into The Woods!. Everyone who got a call back yesterday got an awesome part!. They just want to be sure of your vocal range or dancing skills or acting abilities so they hold a call back :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

a callback could be either acting, dancing, singing, or all three!. it just means that they want to see more of you!.

if you don't have one its not necessarily bad!. it just means that they've seen what they needed from you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
