haha aww first of all, im pretty sure youre not the only one worrying about this, if that makes you feel better :}
um for me i do get nervous a little bit before i try out, but afterwards its the best feeling to be over with!
It really helps me to go up in the beginning (to get it over with)
also if you act like youre really exited and pumped for it, that might also help!.!.!.
We did fiddler on the roof this fall, and i didnt know the songs, but none of the kids did so we all tried our best, and eventhough my singing wasnt the greatest i still got in!!!

good luck :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

dont be worried this will be fine!.!. i suggest if you have itunes or something, downloading the songs from the soundtrack once you find out!. or youtubing the song to sing along if you are given a song!.!. i have done closed auditions alone with the director, and open ones!.!. it just depends ont he director!.!.!. i assume your try outs will consist of singing and acting!.!.!. you will probably be given the part of a script for the acting!.!. if you want to practice before hand, get a general gist of the storyline and the characters and look up monologues or dialogues that would be similar (are they comedic, dramatic, romantic!?) work on face expressions and hand motions in the mirror for speaking and singing, but make sure it always stays natural!.!.!. also, practice taking deep breaths from your stomach to project your voice healthily and practice articulating your words in word and song!. it seems like a lot, but just do a little each day, and in no time, youll be even more prepared!.!.!. but dont worry, youll be in the same boat as everyone else with finding out late!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I was in an acting class once and they used to have us sing before auditions (even if the play wasn't a musical) and the instructor just told us to pick any song and sing a few lines of it!. I don't think the song matters, either because most of in the class just sang "Happy Birthday", lol!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
