The Extra agency that i work with is called Kids management and yes its free when you start!. Just go in threw this site to find out all the details!. http://www!.kidsmanagement!.com/kids/index!.!.!. Concerning SAG to become a sag member you need to get sag credits threw working sag jobs!. But joining SAG really limits the extra jobs you can work!. although when you are SAG the jobs do pay more!. But if this is what you really love pay shouldn't be your biggest concern!. Well I hope this helps and please if you have any other questions just email me!.

To the last part of your question if you have to pay money it's a scam, extras get paid, they don't have to pay!.

As for sag extras don't need to be union!. The common way to get casted is send your comp card into casting agencies!. Many cities also have government agencies that give permits and thigns to film and they often list casting ontheir website!.

Another thing to think about is are movies filmed near you!? If you live in chicago, NY, LA probably, if you live in North Dakota probably not and extras dont get paid enough to travel plus your expenses wont be covered!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Central Casting is for adults over 18 years old, so since you are younger than 18 you can sign up with kids talent management!. They are responsible for background/extra work for kids!. It's a $30 registration fee, and you need to set up an appointment with them!. During the appointment they will tell you all you need to know regarding work permits, coogan account, school work, etc!. But before the appointment visit the website for all the proper paperwork needed to turn in the day of the appointment!. =D

here is the link to the website!.!.!.
