Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Don't email!. It's best to have that conversation in person!. First, you need to check your contract to see if it is allowed, as your modeling agency may have exclusive rights to book you on commercials!. If you went with another agency, you could be liable to forfeit all of you earnings to the agency as a penaltyWww@QuestionHome@Com you probably want to do this in person or over the phone!. your print agent shouldn't care if you do commercials!. just tell them you want to do film work and could they recommend an agent!. everyone in the business knows someone who knows someone etc, etc!. they probably know a theatrical agent they could send you to!. you need to get some acting classes though!. allot of casting directors, agents and managers give acting classes and if their an agent they will pick you up themselves or send you to an agent when they think your ready!. people in hollywood change agents all the time, their used to it, their not going to be mad if you want to do acting jobs!. just be up front with them and say hey things are going slow and your not getting out lately that you want to try acting and could they help you or do they know anyone who could!. if you pick up some acting work it could help you and them by getting your face in front of allot of people, thereby getting you more modeling jobs!. Www@QuestionHome@Com I don't think that's the sort of thing you'd want to say through an e-mail, as that can come across as impersonal!. Give your agent a call, let them know that you're interested in branching out into acting, and ask if they can help you out with that!. As long as you don't imply that the slow job market is their fault they likely won't have too much of an issue with that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Exactly that!. Things are slow, please put me in contact with a casting agent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
