Question: How do I become a good actress!?

i want to be an actress!. i need tips on how to get there and how to be good too!. i can't get lessons and i am also only 13!. my school doesn't have school plays because it is pretty small!. i live in a small town 1 hour and 30 min away from dallas!. my parents don't even know my dream yet!. i really need help!. i think i wouldn't be able to live with myself if i don't even try to make my dream come true!. there are some things u can do even if ur school doesnt have plays or drama courses!.

one good exercise is when ur with friends or family, u could play that lil mind game where u make them believe something!. say for example ur with ur friends and then u say "hey ready for that math test today" when there really isnt one!. it actually takes pretty good acting skills to convince them u truly believe there is a test because u literally have to make it seem like ur living the part and thats what acting is all about!. u can mix up the scenario too but just dont do it too often ur friends might get mad lol!.

another thing u could do is be more outgoing!. alot of ppl who want to act end up not being as good as they could be cuz they're afraid to cut loose and have everyone look at them while trying to maintain a realistic demeanor!. even if u have no prob presenting a speech or having everyone stare at u, its good practise to get into these situations alot so that it becomes like second nature to be looked at by lots of ppl and so that u think on ur feet!. when everyones paying attention to u, if someone disses u, u gotta kno what to say, how to say it, and u gotta think fast!. thats just an example of thinking on ur feet!.

u could also try starting a drama club at ur school!. usu schools allow clubs to be made so long as a certain amount of people are in the club!. if that doesnt work, u could always find some other ppl interested in acting too and suggest acting together as practise in order to help each other become better!.

just remember to be confident, practise and if this is something u def wanna do, dont let anyone bring u down about it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have plenty of time to make your dream come true!. Since the regular avenues to performing do not appear to be available you should concern yourself with what you can do!. Take accelerated courses and finish school early!. The earlier you can graduate high school, the earlier you can apply for and attend a college that does have a theater department and start your journey towards becoming a professional actress!.

Wow!. I'm thirteen and acting, too!. I live in Nashville, though, and I've been acting since I was five!. Um, tell your parents, and go to sag!.org to see if they have a branch in your area!. (Dallas) and if they do you can look up agencies there!. also, you might want to just do some research on the computer!. A headshot would help, and you should start doing town plays, or even tell your school (principal or drama teacher) that you would like to start some plays!.

practice in front of a mirror and watch movies with really good character actors in them, like Johnny Depp!. also, if you tell your parents, they may be willing to drive you Dallas if you are really committed to your dream!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

my friend's lil sister, she wants to be an actress too!. So she told her parents!. you should do that too!. Then her parents signed her up to john robert powers!. To practice her acting!. Maybe you can get them to get you some acting opportunities!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

go to anna sheers acting school, a lot of acting friends went there, or go to reading university ad study acting and english there!. however my best advise would be to listen to The Killers!.!.!.!.!.!.they rock!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well i can certainly relate! im only 15 but i absolutly LOVE to act/sing/dance/entertain ppl
ive got a dream to be on broadway which yes its far out there but hey! thats the dream!

okay so my advice is!.!.!. first off let your parents know how much you love it, even if for some crazy reason they dont approve either way they are your parents and im sure theyll support you in what ever you do :)
next step, get involved :D i understand its really difficult to do sometimes when you dont have access to nearby acting academys, but you can still practice, try to find and buy a book of audition monolouges (you can order of online) and use it to develop your acting skills at home, practice makes perfect! :D
then lastly develop your voice, because musicals are so popular its hard to make it big as an actor unless you sing too, if you can, find a local voice teacher or join a choir, just look for ways to improve
and most importantly!.!.!. never give up on your dream! you will hear this from just about everyone you talk to only because its true :) dont EVER get discouraged by not getting the part you wanted or by someone telling you your not good enough, keep dreaming, keep trying and you will do great things!
