I am practically the expert on all things Annie!. I've been in any five times!. I was Molly (the littlest orphan) four times and I was Annie once!. My sister was July four times so I know about that part!. I don't know what your talent is of course but by the looks of your picture you seem to be the right age to pull it off!. My advice for you is PRACTICE, PRACTICE,PRACTICE! That is really the only way you can be fully prepared for an audition!. also, you cannot be shy!. Make big gestures and really let your character get "out there" because the orphans in Annie have to command the audience's attention!. Another idea is to try to belt all the songs without going into your head voice, even though that may be hard!. Try to work on stretching out your range because directors are impressed by girls who can belt high up in their range!. I hope I could help!Www@QuestionHome@Com

No I've never been in the play, and suggest you get a copy of the movie, or youtube those songs and others!.

The parts are obvious!. Children in an orphanage, living through otherwise hard times even outside of that setting!. The Annie character herself is attempting to boost moral, stay upbeat, show others some sense of what kindness and caring are about!.

The good news is that most of the numbers initially are chorus, and need not be so polished as they might be in a solo performance on broadway!.

The play is a fun piece to work, and that's how you should approach it!. I think just to audition is to your credit and being middle school it might be that no one is rejected no matter some less starring roles included!. Obviously it's focused on one young girl and her story, so at some point your part might pass and others will move through the play!.

First of all, you have great eyes! Perfect for the theatre!. Just be very expressive when you sing the songs!. Depending on what the director is looking for - I would not want you to seem fake or over the top!. HOWEVER, on that note, these Hard Knock!.!.is over the top!. You have such a great look that I would not want you pigeonholed in the immediate future; type cast as an Annie in other productions!. Even though it is the lead, the kids in the orphanage could be more fun and you could get a little more creative!. That is not to say that if you do get Annie, that would be wonderful!. And guess what!? Depending on how tall and mature you may look, Grace (Daddy Warbucks Secretary) might be wonderful for you - IF you audition for anything other than the "kids"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, you seem to be more of a "behind the scenes person!." By Looking at your interests and your hobbies, you don't seem fit for the theatre!. That's my opinion and I hope you don't take it personally!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Play the part of the girl that always says "OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS" that is my favorite character! And you are very pretty go for it!

Drink lots of water and stay away from soda and sticky foods!Www@QuestionHome@Com
