Question: I want to become an actress( rest of question inside )!?

i just turned 13, i have a talent agency in mind that i have been in contact with ( cr kids talent ) its a small agency, which i like because then they will be more focused on each individual person!. I have my moms support, and my dad a bit!. but my mom is more comitted to it, she has already scheduled headshots for me and everything!. I want experience but not in plays!. i live in LA so does anyone know any workshops or acting classes ( not schools ) and talents that would be helpful for me to find a job wound be much appreciated, and other ways to build up my resume!. i would say i have the ' look ' because a lot of people say i look like a younger version of lauren conrad!. and another thing: i know a producer and a film writer ( family friends ) and they said i could be an extra or have a small part in one of their movies, so that would add some experience, but alot of people say that when you become a extra people dont take you seriously!. Playhouse West in North Hollywood is a good starting place, but to be honest, most actors start off in plays!. I'm not sure what your aversion to it is!. You will have to take a lot of bum jobs before you "make it big"!.

Extras are a good start, if not just for the contacts you will make!. It's a way to get your name out there!. However, it takes a lot of tact and professionalism to rocket from an extra's résumé!.

Your best bet is to go to college and study theatre, and keep on networking!. Life, especially in acting, is *all* about who you know!.

I wish I could explain more, but I'd have to know why you refuse to do plays!.

Its seem like the only way to make it is if you know,marry,your parents, etc are famous!!!

Never give up on your dreams though, you never know you could say I made is Y!A when you giving your award speech!!!

nothings wrong with it!.
its fun;; you get money;; do what you love;; and meet celebrities!.
im not sure bout workshops and classes cuz i dont live in LA;; even though i love it wiff a huge passion!.
just have faith in yourself!.

First thing is first, you must come upon the realization that the likelihood of you becoming a famous actress is the equivalent of you being killed by lightning!. With that aside, the first step you want to take in order to build your resume is to appear in low budget independent films!. You can search for roles on "craigslist!." also, please do understand that a large portion acting is not glitz and glamor, but hard excruciating work!. You will be asked to repeat the same line over and over again until you fall on your knees and beg the director to stop!. Additionally, "looks" are the last thing you should be worried about!. The only thing good looks guarantees is maybe a role as an unknown slut whom the main character sleeps with for a night!. Become a good actor, practice acting! Watch a lot of good movies!.
