I'm in my freshman year at college, so I was bound to change my mind about what I wanted to major!. But of this, I am certain: I want to become a movie actress!. Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If your college has a drama department, you should take as many acting classes and audition for as many campus plays as possible!. That will help you acquire the training and experience you need!. It will also be a good way to meet other students who share your interest in acting, and to meet professors who can give you helpful professional advice!. You should apply for apprentice and intern jobs at summer theatres in your area -- another good way to gain hands-on experience and to start building a network of professional contacts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Definitely stay in school and finish!. In the film industry talent is not nearly enough to succeed and even doing whatever it takes does little to improve the odds!. It's a wacky, brutal and unforgiving industry!. The vast majority of actresses move out here to LA, flounder around for a while and ultimately fail!. If your school has a drama department join it!. While you're doing that start your own research on the tv and film industry!. Becoming an actress who earns a living solely from acting is a very difficult and elusive goal!. It will take YEARS, not days, weeks or months!. Income for actors is NEVER steady but the first few will be downright rough!. Www@QuestionHome@Com Stay in school!!!! If your college has a film program then take some classes and possibly get your film degree!. If not, get involved with the theatre department (or drama or speech/communications)!. Make as many contacts as you can and volunteer backstage or behind the scenes as often as possible (as well as taking advantage of any acting opportunities!.)
