Well i am a very new actress, i haven't had any roles, so i have no experience (besides the school musical and various school dramas)!. I really would like to jump-start my career, but i don't know where to start!. i can't find any casting call sites that i trust, i am only 16, but i might as well start now, and quit talking about it and just go for it!. any ideas on how or where to start!?

There is no way a 16 yr old can jump start a non-existent career which is what you have!. There are no web sites that you can trust, as they all want your money!. Your parents are your best asset in your endeavor, so enlist their help in finding you shows to be in and a professional acting class that you can take!. In the mean while there is a lot of reading you should be doing on the profession of acting!. You need to read Acting as a Business by Brian O'Neil and The Tao of Acting by K!. Plonkey just to start!.Www@QuestionHome@Com You should go to an agent!. It depends where you live, but there's usually at least one or two agents in small cities!. In large cities, just look up talent agents in your area and start calling!. I would go to a talent agency first because they can guide you and tell you about auditions!. You should also get some head shots, body shots, etc, because many auditions ask for head shots and a resume!. The agent will help guide you through the process!. I want to be an actress too and you just need to go for it!. Don't really think about embarrassing yourself or anything, think about what YOU want and how you need to get there!. Www@QuestionHome@Com Number 1 flunk of inexperienced actors: When producing very sad expressions, the corners of the mouth should turn down with screams or sobs, causing the chin to wrinkle!. Don't bare your teeth straight across for a sad expression, it's a dead give-away that you're acting!. Even experienced actors screw this up sometimes!. Good work on trying to start early!.
