The Minnie Fay monologue from the very beginning of scene three in Hello Dolly can make for a terrific audition!. She's fretting over hats and ribbons the whole time, going the speed of a locomotive, spewing out whatever comes to her mind!. Gives you a lot of opportunity to show a broad range with your voice and expression in a short space of time: high and low pitch, speed up and slow down, angry, frazzled, nervous, annoyed!. And if you mess it up a bit you can just keep plowing through because the whole thing is so animated and fun!. It's really high-energy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
