Sure!. Don't sweat it!.

What you need is a realistic plan!. The best course if you are currently in high school involves:
--get into all the shows you can, school and community and even college!. Call them and ask if there is a role you might play--and if you don't get a role, ask if you can work backstage or with audience!.
--study!. Get into classes/workshops/lessons in acting, voice, dance, movement, acrobatics, combat, or anything stage related!. Read lots of plays, starting with the masters like Shakespeare, Miller, O'Neill, Simon, Sophocles, Aristophanes!. Read books about acting (Hagan or Lewis or Stanislavski) and also about any other aspects of show biz!.

When you're ready for college, you want to find a top program that will lead to a bachelor of fine arts degree in theatrical performance!. That's a BFA, not a BA (bachelor of arts)--BA is acadmic, BFA is professional training!. The top programs are at Julliard, Yale, Maryland, NYU, but a good state university program ought to serve as well!. The BFA program polishes your skills and also teaches you all of the ins and outs of the theatrical business!. My college classes in acting included techniques and exercises for coping with stage fright and timidness and other personal afflictions, so that's when that will be handled!.

One caution--people who want to be actors sometimes are roped in by unscrupulous 'agents' who figure out a way to get you to pay a lot of money up front and then deliver nothing!. True, when you're ready for professional work, you'll have to invest in a pro photo package, but that should be at the studio of your choice--agents should not insist on you getting headshots or lessons from a single provider, nor should they get paid except as a small percentage of money you earn as a performer while they're representing you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, if you're old enough try college drama!. If you're in college, take an acting class or two!. Even if you aren't in college, try out for a part in their upcoming production!. Be sure to specify that you want a smaller role!.

They'll probably have you do cold readings, which is where you get on stage with a script and, without the time to really memorize it, do your best to play out the scene!.

There's a few things you have to remember about theatre and acting though!. Sometimes you just aren't right for a role!. You could be fantastic, but if you aren't tall enough, or your skin isn't the right shade, you may not get a part!. also, keep in mind that with some practice, you could be just right for a role!.

The important thing to remember is that if you aren't nervous you'll do better and that everyone, even the best, screw up!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

part of acting is being confident!. try practicing in front of a mirror, or your parents, or your friends!. Make videos of yourself and watch them to show yourself that you can do it!. don't be shy!. Put yourself out there and don't be afraid to reach out of your comfort-zone one step at a time!. Don't take your self too seriously!. Have fun!. Good Luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
