Question: Should I sit or stand for auditions!?
So i have all-state auditions tomorrow and i play clarinet!. I was wondering if it is better to stand or sit while i audition!. Im just afraid that I might get light headed if I stand and my knees lock!. Idk though what do you think is better!? I know I sound like im overreacting but im just really nervous for tomorrow!. any ideas!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Clarinetists usually stand when performing solo, so that's what you should do!. Only sit down if you play an instrument where you need to sit down, like a cello, or if you actually have some type of medical problem where you can't stand easily!.

Just make sure you have eaten sometime the day of the audition, and don't stand with your knees locked!.

To help you in the future, make sure that some of your practice sessions at home are done while standing, so that you're used to it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
