Question: Who else is sad about Spamalot, Hairspray and the Lion King closing on Broadway =( !?

i just found out a couple of days ago, and i am really sad! i am going to see spamalot in december, im glad i got tickets because its closing january 4th!. im devastated! but 3 great musicals closing!? who else is sad!? its so depressing!!! and all at the same time! it makes it all the more worse!!! The Lion King isn't closing (at least not yet)!.

I'm upset about Spring Awakening announcing its closing also- I can't believe all these shows are closing!. There are going to be more empty theaters than theaters with people in them and making money!.

also, a lot of these shows have touring shows going on right now!. They honestly are killing Broadway grosses- people would rather see the touring cast then spend money to go up to the city and see the show!. There are a lot of shows that don't appeal to European and tourists from other countries like Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, and Chicago are pulling in people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Lion King is not closing!. They're one of the only shows that's actually selling pretty well!.

But, yes, Spamalot makes me sad!. It's a histerical show!.

And SPRING AWAKENING is closing!! :(

And not to mention, nobody can afford to go to New York anymore!. Especially since the summer is over!.
It's really sad to hear that all these great shows are closing because of the economy!. At least the West Side Story revival is going to come soon!. That'll rake in some cash big time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm soooo sad, i can't believe Hairspray is closing and I never got to see Spamalot!!! =( Then on to of that my all time favorite broadway show, Legally Blonde just closed down!!!!! =( Www@QuestionHome@Com
