I am going to be an extra in a film for no pay!. Does this count toward my SAG eligibility or not!?

No you must get a waiver from a Union production, called a Taft Hartley waiver!. You must get at least 3!. Then you pay the dues of 2100 bucks and you in!.

Being in the Union is no guarantee of work and in fact you need not be in the union to audition for any speaking part in any union production
