Hello everyone, I have been acting for more than a decade of my life (more than half) been in some independent films/plays, won several awards and recognitions, and so on yet my career is still seems to making little progress!. Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The problems probably not your acting if you've been doing it for 10 years, try meeting some producers, get to know as many people as you can that can help bring you to the big times and help them out!. You help them out, you could be there 1st resort if they need an extra actor!. Remember to them the acting business is mostly about money!.Www@QuestionHome@Com seen as you have been acting for ages now you most prob have all the experience you need, do your resume and head shot if you haven't already get an agent cause they are the ones who can give you auditions and it will be auditions for ads at first then a tv show usually, if you got the part you surely would start getting recognized even though you have won some things and been in a few films i would still get an agent because the things they audition you for are usually tv things =]Www@QuestionHome@Com Television is a faster medium in which to get recognized!. With film it can be two or three years from the time you shoot until it's available to the public if at all!.Whereas there's about a three to four week lag time between shoot and original air date!. Other than trying to book as much work as possible there isn't much else within your control!. You may want to think of hiring a PR person on a case by case basis to amplify your exposure when you are on shows but that may be too much for right now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I have no idea, I am not an actor!.
