Sure, I have spoke with people who studied with Penny Templeton!. She has develop her technique for the actors to approach a scene!. Those who I have spoke with, said many good things about Penny!.
I've never studied with her, so I can't speak more on how she as an instructor and how her techniques improved my performance!.

Personally, i have studied at HB Studio!. Uta Hagen Technique is the technique taught in class!. I find it extremely useful - if you have never acted before or have any formal training - you will benefit from the class!. I find it gave me a really strong foundation on my acting techniques!. (I studied with Sanford Morris, but he passed away couple months ago!.!.!.!.!.*sniff*)

I would strongly encourage you to audit a class before you sign up for the full semester!. Each instructors have different way of teaching!. You need to know if you CLICK or not CLICK with a particular teacher!.!.!. as well as who are your fellow students in class!? (Make sure your classmates have the same commitment as you!.)

HB Studio is the most affordable Acting School in Manhattan, so it attracts students of all levels and interests!. That is you will have to choose your Instructor and participate in the right class to learn the craft!. (I recommend classes taught by Edward Morehouse, Austin Pendleton, Jim Boerlin, Joseph Daly, Jeanne Kaplan, and Author French!.!.!.etc)
