Anne sings in the Now/Later/Soon trio with Henrik and Fredrik, Every Day A Little Death with the Countess, and A Weekend in the Country with the whole company - incidentally all her songs are in Act 1!. Anne is 18, married to Fredrik (who is well over 40, probably nearing 50) and will not let him sleep with her, despite the fact they've been married for 18 months!. In spite of this, she is very upset when she discovers that Fredrik has been visiting an old lover of his, Desiree Armfeldt, and vows to win him back to her when they go to the Armfeldt country house (where Act 2 takes place)!. Eventually, through Henrik attempting (and failing!) to hang himself, she realises that it is him that she loves and not Fredrik!. They elope, and nothing more is heard of them!Www@QuestionHome@Com |
