Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: They are closing the show early due to the fact that the producers are not bringing in enough money with it!. Even with Broadway ticket prices being what they are (and some of them are outrageous) you need to remember that everybody involved with a Broadway production has union protection, and as such a lot of money goes out!. Sorry to hear that your show was cancelled, but if you get a chance you should see the touring production if it comes through your town!. It is also a union production, and has some great performers in it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com You mean it's "closing"!? Well it's closing because that space has two balconies!. They want to revive West Side Story, so they need a lot of seating space for it!. They closed Legally Blonde because it wasn't making a lot of money and they needed the space anyway!. It's probably not making money because everyone already saw it on tv!. Why go see Legally Blonde on Broadway when I've already seen it on TV!? Especially in the comfort of my own home instead of in those tight seats, a stocked refrigerator available at all times, and as many camera views of the stage! I'll go see Wicked instead!
