Question: How do I know if it's a published play!?
I found a perfect book for my upcoming auditions for high school!. Or so I thought!. The book is 111 one-minute monologues for teens!. The only problem is that the monologues must be from published plays!. I am not sure whether or not these would be considered published plays!. What would be considered a published play!? How do I find out if the play that I am looking at would be considered published!? PLEASE RESPOND ASAP! My auditions are so soon!. Help me!Www@QuestionHome@Com

NOOOOOOOO!!!! MONOLOGUE BOOKS SUCK!!!! JUST SAY NO!!!!

:-)

Seriously, though, they aren't a good idea, as people use those monologues over and over!. You're better off to read and find your own!. Considering that you're short on time, though, Google the title of the monologue!. If it IS a published play, make sure you read it or at least a very detailed synopsis so you understand the character and make sure you can connect to him/her!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It should say where the monologue came from or at least who wrote it!. The title of the monologue in those collections is usually the title of the play!. Google that title and cross your fingers!. You could also try contacting the publisher of the collection and ask them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
