To get your script into the right hands, you need an agent that specializes in screen writing!. To get an agent, you need a spec script!. A spec script is basically a sample script showing off your skills as a writer, not an actual script intended for production!. Once you garner some interest, THEN you can shop around actual scripts!.

I would suggest producing this yourself!. Get some actors, a director, a cinematographer, etc
Web series are the new hot thing!. Maybe you could create a series of 10 minute short episodes and upload them to You Tube, create a website for marketing, etc!.
I can't remember the name of the show offhand, but a web series was recently picked up for network television after it gained a huge cult following online!.

If you're goal is to be a screen writer though, start networking now with up coming directors!. Check film schools!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You kinda answered this your self!. Let actors read it and play with it!. The main key is what actors!?!? The more "well known" to the studio exec's, the more they are going to be willing to listen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First off , if you're gonna film it , you can look for actors using Lacasting!.com or actorsaccess!.com

Gather some actors, or even just friends to do a table read!. That means they do not quite act it out but you can hear the dialogue and gauge how it sounds when read out loud!.

In terms of getting this to FX don't hold your breath!. For the most part only very experienced producers or former staff writers of other long running TV shows typically get to pitch things to a network channel like that!. You should research shows on imdb!.com and follow the trails of which producer/writer/directors worked on what shows!. You'll see a pattern!. TV pilots take a significant amount of financial resources so the powers that be tend to go with the track records!.

Typically what new writers do is a "spec" script of a current show or many current shows!. You'll also want to copyright your scripts before sending it to anyone!. Look up how to do this on the Writers Guild site I provided!. The WGA is the writers union!. Start researching Hollywood resource books on the writers profession so you can learn how to get a script moved around town, to agents etc!. It's going to be a long, long climb and one thing i didn't mention yet!. If this is your first script that you've ever written!.!.!.!.it's not good!. It's probably not even in proper format which means if an experienced producer were to see it he'd toss it out!. It takes the average writer years to hone their craft!. If this is what you really want to do, then show yourself to be serious and do the research!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
