There is a great deal you can do from home!.

Practise your monologues, make up new monologues of your own to add that all important bit of originality to your auditions!.
You should be writing to people several times a week especially casting directors!.
Read as much as you can, and read about two pages a day out loud!.
Enlist the help of your partner or a family member to read lines with you!. It doesn't even have to be lines from an upcoming job/script, just use any play or re-enact a scene from a play or film!.
Watching films and television is one of the best resources for studying acting from home!. Don't just watch the movie, don’t just watch the tv show, watch the actors and how well they perform their parts!.
And don’t forget the internet!. There is a wealth of information and networking to be made online!. Some of my best acting gigs have been through networking online!.

Network!. The internet is full of junk, but it can also open amazing doors!.

Go to this link here!. It goes straight to the section called, ‘Good Information’!. Here you will learn a great deal about the industry as well as what you can do from home!. Read through the whole forums, especially the posts made by MajorDomo, which happens to be me!.

you can always practice memorizing lines!. try taking a paragraph out of a magazine and read over it once and see how much you can recite!. keep practicing, you eventually want to get to the point where you can read something and be able to recite it entirely!. this comes in handy for auditions when you are asked to cold read something!. also, you can stand in front of a mirror and practice lines!. watch your facial expression and see how believable it is!. Go over your lines in front of a mirror!. Or you can get a video camera and tape yourself acting, then watch it and be your own critic!. You can change what you want about your acting, and then do it again till you are satisfied!Www@QuestionHome@Com
