The fact is, there aren't many opportunities in West Virgina!. If you are serious to commit to Acting as a Career, you really have to put yourself at the center where all the actions are!. Los Angeles or New York!.

Sierra Boggess (currently plays Ariel in The Little Mermaid Musical) grew up in Denver Colorado, then went to Millikin University to study Musical Theatre!. She participated in almost every single school productions, and eventually, got herself a leading role in a showcase!. Right after that, she auditioned and got her equity card by doing Summer Stock theatre - and when she was ready, she moved to New York!. Because she knew that she had to go to New York if she wants to be a successful Broadway Musical Actress!.

Not just her, but a lot of Talent Actors eventually move from their home state, to either New York and LA!. (Most common that Actors move to New York first, to study and learn, and then to LA to make money!.!.!.)

Depends on your current Education level - if you are in College, you can either Major or Minor in THEATRE!. Absorb as much as you can!. If you are in Middle School - High school, participate in Drama Club!.!.!. See if there are local Theatre Troupe that you can join!. When it's time for you to go to College - then you should look for College outside of your state!.!.!. (i'd suggest New York) armature Tisch School of Arts
Atlantic Acting School
Lee Strasberg Institute
The Neighborhood Playhouse
The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts
American Academy of Dramatic Arts
The Julliard School

There's no better to become an 'actor' than start acting and continue acting!.

Talent Agents don't have time to train an amature actor into a star!. So, without decent credits on your resume - it's really a waste of time for you to find a legit Talent Agent!. (Commercial and Modeling Agents are different, but that's outside of this discussion)

Focus on what's available in you area first!.

Good Luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is extremely hard! I live in LA and it is still hard to get a decent agent that wont rip you off!. Your first step should be to move to LA then get a good agent!. Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
