Question: Question for the waning, jaded actor!?
Has anyone else lost their fire!? I used to be so into acting, that to think of my life without it would make me quite upset!. I recognise now that my priorities have shifted from in front of the camera to behind, but I know that acting was still my first true love!. I just feel like the odds and the work and the inequity have beaten the spirit out of me!. I do act for the love of the craft, but I just can't reclaim that sheer abandonment to character, the disassociation of self, the dedication!.

Bless you heart!. Unfortunately, the fundamental requirement of the craft is in wanting it more than ANYTHING else in your life!. This leads many of us wondering if it is really worth that!. Fortunately, there are other outlets (aside from the proverbial 'making it') for your love/skills of the craft!. It takes some creative thinking, but there are other opportunities out there!. Sometimes it takes being away from it all for awhile to see things anew!. And there is nothing ignoble about not 'reclaiming' it either!. You sound like you took it seriously, and it will always be with you in one way or another!. It is, after all, about human behavior and your insights of same!. Maybe you need a break for a bit, or maybe it will manifest in some way that will surprise you!. At any rate, don't let it bother you too much!. It's a big world!. Best to you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
