Question: Can i star as elphaba in the musical wicked anywhere!?

i'm not a actor, or singer, but have a freakishly strong voice, and everyone i've sung wicked too are amazed!. i'm addicted to wicked, but is there anyway i can star as elphaba!? would open call auditions be the best!? where and when are those next ones!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The drama world isn't as wasy as it sounds!. I don't know where you live so I can't tell you what companies are putting on the musical wicked soon but I can tell you in order to obtain the lead somewhere, in most cases, you need theater and singing experience!.!.!. Wicked is still on Broadway and on tour, so you won't find any local theatres doing it b/c they won't be able to get the rights!. I would think most auditions would be in NYC, though they may do out of town casting in other major cities!. But as you say, you are not an actor or singer, so the odd's are against you!. Wicked does not do open calls for Elphaba!. You'll need an agent to get you an audition - and if you're not an actor then it's very unlikely you'll get the part, as Elphaba is not just about the singing!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wicked is still on Broadway, and probably will be for a while!. When it closes on Broadway the rights become available for other theaters- community theaters, schools, etc!. Sorry!Www@QuestionHome@Com
