There is no set way a split stage is achieved, i would say the use of lighting and different set on either side of the stage is the best and most common way to achieve a good 'Split Stage' look!. I do not think closing curtains on one side of the stage is a common practice or a particularly effective one! There are other ways of getting a split look, such as levels!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
