First of all, you can look at various websites for local casting calls seeking Voice Over talent!. It's a good way to start building up your REEL or Resume!. Mandy!.Com is a good resources!.

Now, to begin working as a Voice-Over actor (for both animation and other areas), you will need:

1) Voice Over Resume
2) Demo/Sample of your Voice Over Clips

To create a demo sample of your voice reel, and if this is on a CD-ROM!.!. the the tracks should be:

-15 (or less) seconds of self introduction!. Your natural speaking voice!.
-30 seconds of a Commercial Voice!. As if you are talking about some kind of product!.
-30 seconds of a Corporate/Broadcasting/Professional Voice!.
-30 seconds of Cartoon Voice 1
-30 seconds of Cartoon Voice 2
-30 seconds of Foreign Language (optional)

If you are just starting out, instead of a Voice Over Resume, you can just include your contact information!.

You should google for any Talent agencies that represent Voice Over talent!. Send them a copy of your voice sample, and in your cover letter, indicate that you are seeking representation for voice over gigs!.
